Mustafa Kemal Atatürk - Time-lapse

Homage to M. Kemal Atatürk 1881-193∞ - the founder and first president of Turkey. I created a portrait of him from things that tell the story of his life and legacy. The values that he stood for and used to establish modern Turkey resonate with me as a European.

1. Separating religion from politics with a secular state
2. Creating a democracy and constitution under European law
3. Giving women equal rights
4. Repealing Sharia law
5. Introducing the Latin-based Turkish alphabet, eradicating illiteracy, and making education free and compulsory
6. Modernizing Turkey culturally and politically There are many countries in the world that need their own Atatürk.
