Día de Muertos

I'm fascinated by the celebration of Día de Muertos. I set out to create a diorama with traditional elements of the ofrenda (altar of offerings) — Calaveras (skulls), pan de muerto (bread of the dead), pico de papel (perforated paper), mezcal and flor de muerto (marigolds) — with memojis of the departed. Flickering candles provide the scene with warm light, and other objects are inspired by the Rivera family ofrenda in the movie Coco.
