This fan art pays tribute to the undisputed master of horror, Junji Ito. Tomie was introduced in Ito's 1987 manga which was published in Monthly Halloween, a shōjo magazine.

Recognizable among a thousand, Tomie ignites passions in all the men who meet her gaze. Her victims, torn between love and madness, gradually sink to the point of committing the unspeakable and murdering her in horrific circumstances.

But the world can never get rid of Tomie. Worse, her power inexorably increases with each of her rebirths...
