LOCKED by Beryl Bilici

While each of us contributes to the evolution of time, we are creating a collective stairway by appending pieces from our ego and personality. Mechanical and soulless implants are substituting what we have lost. As our boundaries expand, we are being confined more and more. In the meantime we are savoring the mechanism with alternative spiritual movements; we can’t reach to the genuine substantial light which will unleash the mind from its chains. Our relishing inevitable hunger indulges and provides the strength to move on. ⋮ 'LOCKED' is an Audio-Visual work created by Beryl Bilici in March 2020 for Sónar Festival. It has been showcased and exhibited at "Sónar Festival 2020 - Sónar+D AV" in Istanbul, through 3 separate LED screens merged into 1 horizontal immersive experience setup. ⋮ 𝟦𝟢𝟧𝟢 x 𝟣𝟢𝟪𝟢 𝗉x.
