Apartments are a representative form of residence in Korea. As such, it is a type of architecture that can be easily seen anywhere in Korea, so in some sense it feels like an inconspicuous building. It was the same for me, but one day, the familiar landscape was replaced with an unfamiliar one.
Light, especially right after the sun rises and when the sun goes down, plays a role in creating a strange space-time as if time has stopped. In particular, old apartments have a simple exterior, and elements that are uniform and non-uniform coexist. The hallway has a certain rhythm, but the windows open and close with an irregular rhythm. The space is evenly divided as if measured by a ruler, but the objects filled in it also have different rhythms.
