Our family has been season ticket holders for the University of Alabama college football team for decades. Although Alabama has a had a lot of success, we had never been to a postseason game, much less a championship game. I had the opportunity to buy 2 tickets to the Alabama versus Notre Dame NCAA Championship Game that took place in January 2013 at the conclusion of the 2012 season. These tickets were very expensive and I was fortunate to get these tickets and completely surprise my dad with them at Christmas. He thought he was just getting a hat he had picked out, but I had hidden the tickets in the hat. As soon as he noticed the tickets, he got very emotional. I shared the video on Facebook so our family and friends could see his reaction, and then the next thing I know, the video went viral.
