Entangled Encounters

Launching as a precursor to Sydney-based artist Eva Nolan’s first NFT artworks, Entangled Encounters represents a whimsical, hybrid ecology. Developed by digitsing, fragmenting and stitching together multiple original graphite pencil on paper drawings, the artwork presents a speculative symbiotic world, a dreamscape of orchids and moths, snails and hummingbirds. It captures something organic and fleeting, as species come together in energetic frivolity. Nolan’s chimeric drawings symbolise the interrelationships between all living things and hope to challenge audiences to consider their own entanglements within multispecies communities.
