I’ll never forget this night.
The whole city was suffering. COVID-19 was ravaging our communities, our families, our businesses, and our mental.
New Yorkers never quit, we get back up and always move forward.
But with the death of George Floyd, it felt like the city had enough. I was marching the streets with thousands of others that entire day. Seeing the look in everyone’s eyes, and feeling the pain and energy from the crowd still sends chills up my spine. There was a full spectrum of emotions, and when the sun set and the nighttime started to blanket the city, it came with another level of intensity. In the heart of Union Square, there was a line in the sand being drawn between the people and the police.
