Dunes Day was taken in Colorado when I revisited the first place I tried to learn photography. I had a basic digital camera back then, no clue what I was doing, and a passion to learn how to get those shots I saw on Instagram. The Colorado Sand Dunes was a perfect place to learn about light, shadows, trekking up soft sand dunes with weight on your back, and how quickly temperature changes when the sun goes down. This is rare as it is from a time I never even considered photography as an income, but as a hobby. Going back for a brief weekend was great to see how different I looked at this place. I hope to go back again next year.
