Monoceros: Rho Ophiuchi Rising

A journey to greet an old friend, many hours to the remotest shores. Finding higher ground in the part of the night when nothing stirs. Waiting as frost lightly touches the ground under a trillion stars. A flash of colour begins to rise above the furthest horizon. Rho Ophiuchi Rising. Beckoning the return of the centre of our universe. As first light comes the dream fades, and the world begins.

The words above attempt to summarise how it felt to image Rho Ophuichi rising above Stradbally Mountain from Brandon Point, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
