reevis bodily charm

i was born on the blackfoot indian reservation at the foot of glacier national park in montana, so indigenous rights are a passion. i use my art/history series to thrown light on tribal figures whenever i can.

quick tribute to a mighty blackfoot warrior - who also happened to have appeared in some of the most revered films of the late 20th century: as shep proudfoot in 'fargo' & as a sioux indian in 'dances with wolves'. born #otd in 1962 on blackfeet land in browning, montana, steve reevis is an enigma. by all accounts, he was a gentle & funny soul who engendered affection in friends, family & colleagues. his sudden death last december remains a bit of a mystery.
