Casablanca

My poster for Michael Curtiz' film "Casablanca". I've been doing a series of posters based on classic film as of late, and I’ve noticed that there haven't been many alternative posters for this one (despite it being one of the most famous movies of all time). I decided to do a poster based on a metaphorical interpretation of the film, with the characters' shadow running instead of their actual selves to symbolize them making an escape. I also aimed to capture the dramatic lighting of this movie with the shadows and neon sign.
