The Light

This piece was inspired by a prompt from an Art challenge. I chose to have the figure unable to face the light. Is it her own future or past which she cannot bear to see? Is it a tangible being set upon her? The idea of being lost in a wood or that closing one's eyes to fear is somehow a safer place was the drive behind the painting. It is done in digital oil after a pencil and paper sketch.
