Ariadne's Drone

I love working in black and white. I often call my black and white drawings and illustrations my zen meditation, as is is a calming break from working with colour. I love the star contrast of dark and light and creating a moment in time with only black on the page inspires me

This piece is a play on Ariadne the immortal wife of the Greek wine-god Dionysos. I loved the idea of combining my Singularity world with mythology paintings and wondered, if future hybrid creatures were immortal, would they take on the aspects of the ancient Gods.
