Red headed Cardinal beetle Pyrochroa serraticornis

I am obsessed by the beauty and marvels of nature, and have an especially soft spot for the magnificence of beetles.

This little beetle is no exception. He's a stunning animal, from his serrated antennae to the mad scarlet of his body, he's amazing.

The colour and shape of this species made it especially fun to illustrate.
