[ŚŪ] #54

Series [ŚŪ], inspired by the philosophical concept of śūnyatā — a Buddhist view on emptiness, where all phenomena exist only in interdependence, without independent essence. The works, created with the help of artificial intelligence, explore the fragility of everyday reality in the urban world. They capture spontaneous scenes of urban crowds, where silhouettes of people dissolve in pixel distortions, glitches, and cutouts, symbolizing the illusoriness of individuality and connection in the digital age.

The connection between digital art and śūnyatā is manifested in the use of digital tools to demonstrate the "emptiness" of form: pixels and animations emphasize that visible reality is a temporary construct, devoid of essence, as śūnyatā teaches about the interconnected emptiness of all things. In these works, the crowd, seemingly dense and alive, fades into emptiness, reflecting loneliness in a hyper-connected society and inviting viewers to recognize the profound emptiness behind the facade of digital layers. The series challenges the traditions of static art, offering a dynamic experience of reflection on how technologies enhance the sense of śūnyatā — where the physical and virtual merge, leaving only an echo of absence.
