Head in the Sand, Mind in the Cloud

Faire l'autruche, esprit dans le Nuage (Head in the Sand, Mind in the Cloud)

Why continue to live in the real world and witness the chaos and destruction all around you, when you can bury your head in the sand and escape into your own utopian virtual reality? A reality where you can be anything you want to be and go anywhere you desire.

The more ugliness you witness, the stronger your urge to escape into the simulation becomes. It grows more desirable and, eventually, feels more 'real' than actual reality itself. The lines between what is real and what is simulated become increasingly blurred, until you no longer recognize that your reality is merely a simulation.

Sound up, and hang on for the ride.
