Art Is Free. Send Bitcoin.

This is a tribute dedicated to Satoshi Nakamoto that I created in 2018, which envisions the simplicity of what Bitcoin will bring to the people of Earth in years to come. This is also my first piece of "#cryptoart."

"Art Is Free. Send Bitcoin" started out as an acrylic painting. The drips on the bottom stem from the original piece, where the the paint slid down the canvas onto my easel. I believe most artists can relate with that. After painting, I moved it to my computer and began working to make it look...less real, with a few exceptions.

I intended to continue molding it, however after adding the Bitcoin wallet in the bottom right, it made me stop and realize something profound. People of all ages all around the world could do exactly what I was doing. While living in the Amazon jungle of Peru I noticed that even in the depths of poverty, nearly everyone had cell phones. And where there are cell phones, there are wallets. The world was about to be financially connected... in real-time.

This thought gave me hope, that Bitcoin will one day unite people everywhere, in a safe and meaningful way. Whether you own crypto for the community, the money, the technology, or something else altogether, this image is meant to remind us of the freedom of art.
