"The Metamorphosis"

Living life with a horror writer is quite fascinating. A great deal of my work is the result of storyboarding character ideas with her. In that process we take the storyboarding one step further and create real scenes by creating costumes, makeup, and doing photographic shoots in a variety of locations. Once that is done, I take the images I've created and begin to transformed them using Photoshop and a variety of other programs such as Topaz and OnOne and Pixelbender. This image concerns the metamorphosis of the character Vanessa White from Jane Timm Baxter's novel "The Renegade" from a human into a powerful Vampire elite. The image size is 8771 x 6600 pixels @ 300dpi; 22.8 mbs.
