I enjoy taking existing notable art pieces or photographs and using glitch or deep dream technology to deconstruct, decompose, and rearrange them, giving them completely new, abstract perspectives.
The results are as recognizable as I allow the technology to take them. The less technology applied, the more recognizable yet still unique, the image is.
It is as if the initial image is a canvas covered with paint (pixels) rearranged to create a new image. Not exactly appropriation art, but certainly a way to collaborate with the technology, as well as the Masters of Art and Photography.
The Mona Lisa was described by John Litchfield of The Independent as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world.” It is a portrait painting by Leonardo da Vinci, painted c. 1503–1506, perhaps continuing until c. 1517.
Through the application of glitch, photo manipulation/editing technology, I am able to collaborate with the such greats!
