Countless hours are spent to cram ourselves into boxes. Holding ourselves accountable by standards set by those before us. Too much time spent trying to adhere to them.
Yet, nobody asks about those who set the standard thought pattern. Did they have any right or any sense, to project humanity forward in this way?
I constantly feel like I'm fighting something in the world. As I've gotten older, I've been able to understand that I don't really agree with much. I don't want to distill it down into something as simple as, "I don't like how people think", but that's where I'm at in my journey.
"Your Will, You're Lost" is about that panic I feel when wondering about differentiation. I want to be different and I want to know how to set myself outside of the boundaries and limitations of everyone else, but the bitter truth to that childish notion is that I'm just as flawed and human as everyone else. Whether I cram myself in a box or let the world put me in one by it's terms are my only options.
It's probably best to find the comfiest box I can and enjoy the chaos from a distance.
