The Wetlands’s first daughter

Hand in hand, Dr. Maya Miller and her daughter Beth walk through the severed remains of three vogue Squid-monsters. Heather, a warrior of the Wetlands, keeps watch, ready to protect Beth and her mother should any more appear.

Five years earlier, in 2086, the sea rose to a cataclysmic height and wiped out all coastal cities. From the waters also come a new threat: mutated creatures best described as Squid-monsters.

Angry and ravenous, the Squid-monsters hunted those who'd survived the floods and fled inland. Desperate to stop this onslaught and take back her world, Dr. Maya Miller cloned herself and modified these clones, along with herself, to create cybernetic warriors who now hunt the hunters; who now stalk the Wetlands.

Beth is the first of the new daughters of the Wetlands.
