NASA III Discovery - 2084

Earth Year 2084: It's been 14 years since NASA III began roaming Mars. With experiments and tests ongoing, the astronaut colony spent much time expanding their working and living quarters. An innovation created was a programable crystal ball shaped video/audio device, that could provide any past, present information needed, and predict future concepts. It was beyond what computers then could do. A mystifying discovery was that it could communicate with the past, not just view a time period. In amazement they heard a voice. Shocking enough, an astronaut appeared on the 360 degree image...
He communicated he'd been with the 2029 'Calypso Mission'. "How could you be alive?" was asked. He had been abducted by an Alien species who studied him, but he recalled little.
