I started posting on my Instagram in 2015 and by 2017 I came up with this artwork, depicting what I think about social media (a topic I've deeply explored, moving forward). I think most of us just can't stand the idea of not being part of the main group, not being part of what's called "normal", even though they have to trade the truth for some manufactured illusion. It doesn't matter. Doing what others do, acting like others act and thinking what others think is, beyond any rhetoric, the real core of contemporary society and its only true value: it gives the illusion of belonging to something. Otherwise you're just a weirdo, a threat to common sense. Or, in the worst case, you are lost.
