HYPSTORY: Nelson Mandela

It was important for me to keep this illustration simple, with no bells and whistles. I wanted to leave room for his smiling eyes and mouth to do the talking. The bomber jacket design is based on traditional prints and patterns he used to wear, and I gave him a Will Smith Fresh Prince fade haircut, resembling his own hairstyle.
