The image that won 'Architectural Photographer of the Year 2016', created across a 16 minute exposure using a moving light source to fill in all the details of this vast underground space whilst managing to hide the lamp from the camera. A lot of fun to create but with a real 'wow' moment when this image appeared on the rear view screen and I knew I had a potential competition winner. The image forms part of the multi award-winning Forgotten Heritage photography project, which has been running since early 2012 and features imagery from lesser known historic, abandoned and hidden locations throughout Europe. The first time purchaser of this artwork (purchased from the author Forgotten Heritage) will receive a large format 76 x 46.5cm fine art print, printed on thick art paper and posted in a rolled cardboard tube to an agreed address. Subsequent resales of the artwork by new owners may choose to not provide this offer as part of the sale.
