The bear is often used as a representation of strength and power. These are also traits highly valued by modern man. A remnant from a more feral past. The duality of the human condition, the power and the weakness, an animal in a suit. That's what the bear truly is, a powerful creature stuck in a world where strength is not enough.

This piece is one of a series of pictures of anthropomorphic animals. The animals reflect the paradox of the human kind's striving away from being an animal paired with the closeness to her animal sides.
