HYBRID 01 BLACK

Nature—and Time itself—is an artificial intelligence: a repeating design that defies the aesthetic categories of real, alive, natural, artificial, intelligent. But the patterns and forms we recognize are unfolding and performing for each other on an infinite range of scales—the impossible creature rendering itself as visible, allowing itself to be seen, and seeing us, as haunted chandeliers, atom bombs and fiberoptic orchids, fireworks and vanishing species—and nothing is artificial. HOW DO THINGS HAPPEN? AND WHAT ARE THEY? When the answer to the question is the thing itself: the question, the particle blasting around the supercollider unobserved, blossoming in the black of broad daylight as invisible birds. WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? When what is seen is the shape of seeing, each moment sculpting itself into symbiosis with the beholder, the executioner, the surgeon and the gardener.
