“Faticida” was painted in 1864 by Frederic Leighton (1830-1896) in Academicism style. Leighton was 1st Baron Leighton, PRA, and was known as Sir Frederic Leighton between 1878 and 1896. In addition to painting, he was also a draftsman and sculptor. His works depicted historical, biblical, and classical subject matter in an academic style.
The glitch of “Faticida” yielded a colorful image that is nothing short of psychedelic.
