While serving as an operative in the U.S. Special Forces, Tommy Brazen was tasked with the security of a U.S. Ambassador. While on assignment a freak explosion left Tommy completely unharmed and the wife of the ambassador dead. Forensic evidence indicated the device must have been detonated from or near Tommy himself, but his lack of injuries cast doubt on the analysis and Tommy’s account of the incident. With no evidence to prove his innocence, Tommy was forced to resign. Disgraced, now Tommy makes his living using his skills taking jobs both legal and illegal wherever he can get them. From private enforcement gigs for both legitimate and illegitimate business people to underground street fights. Tommy’s Grandfather Jay Brazen, a World War II veteran used to tell Tommy an amazing story of a discovery he made while lost at sea in the war. Of discovering a remote island where an Ancient temple brought Jay face to face with a forgotten god who gifted Jay with incredible abilities. Jay claimed that one day, those powers may pass to Tommy himself. Skeptical, Tommy never put much faith in the stories till his life started to unravel and unexplainable bursts of power manifest whenever he is in danger. The more Tommy fights the stronger he seems to get as if he absorbs the power essence of his fallen opponents and gains their strengths and abilities. Tommy’s goal now is to travel to this mysterious Island his Grandfather spoke of, as well as search for his missing father who traveled to that same island in search of these mysterious powers.
