That's No Moon by George Boya

A playful digital collage animation inspired by the iconic phrase "that's no moon" from Star Wars New Hope. Sometimes things and moons(lol) are not what appear to be at first glance and good or bad surprises may lie under the surface.

For the past 9 months i am experimenting with a new style of digital collages and animation using pieces of my older handcut creations. I call it the Mechanicus style and the aim is to create a new composition with only one photograph as the source material. It is actually the photo of a Kitchen aid mixer i used 10 years ago for the first time and now i am digitally manipulating and expanding it mirroring again and again.

I find the process fascinating, like a creating from a singe cell a whole organism or like making a new loaf of bread by using a leftover piece of the previous dough.
