SOPHROSYNE

Sophrosyne was known as the benevolent spirit of balance, moderation and self control. She was one of the great spirits that escaped Pandora’s box to abandon mankind. Sophrosyne is also an ancient Greek term, and it’s philosophical meaning translates into having "excellence of character and soundness of mind, which when combined in one well-balanced individual leads to other qualities, such as temperance, moderation, prudence, purity, decorum, and self-control.”
