Tree of Life: Binah, Emanation of Pure Knowledge

The third Emanation. A flow of light that illuminates the world. Binah is like the flame of a candle, able to light another without diminishing its own. A flare of pure intent that blossoms from existence and illuminates the mind.

Binah sits atop the Pillar of Severity, forming the first of the feminine aspects of the Tree, creating a perfect balance with Chokhmah at her side. Chokhmah acts as a vessel, and Binah fills that vessel, giving it purpose.
