The Whale

Nature series Part 3

I first created this piece in 2015 as a whale carrying an island on its back. As I became interested in darker scenes and glowing elements, I re-worked this image to what it is now. I wanted the viewer to decide if the whale is carrying the volcano on its back or if the two elements aligned in time for the perfect "photo op."

This piece was created in Photoshop and the glow was painted by hand digitally.
