Ecstasy

This is a detail of the "Pietà" sculpture by Domenico Piò, so it actually is dead christ being mourned by his mother. I'm always impressed by the passion and very earthy sensation that some sculptures give, I also find that religious works often display some sort of hidden sensuality.
