Victory for Perseus

Based on a sculpture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City by Antonio Canova (Italian, 1757–1822). Perseus with the Head of Medusa, 1804–1806.

This piece was inspired by the mythological hero Perseus triumphantly presenting his trophy, Medusa's head in a gesture of victory and triumph over the evil Medusa.
