Passing Thru: Volumes

"Volumes" from Passing Thru (2017) is one the most aesthetically interesting works in the series and one of my all time personal favorites. Named after both a local djent band from my hometown & the technical effect used to create it "Volumes" is fvcking metal to say the least. Passing Thru is a special series to me as it reflects a transitionary period in my career, moving from visual-fx to physically based / experiential installations. It was the first series where I began to explore surreal CGI landscapes, a theme that will likely continue for as long as I make digital art. Here we follow our main character once again, the man with a hat (a model of myself) as he treks through the atmospheric landscapes of a strange new world.
