Passing Thru: Casual Strolls

"Casual Strolls" from Passing Thru (2017) is a reference to the casual late night bar hoping that myself & roommate would use to chill out after a day's work while living NYC, we would stroll from dive to dive in search of the night's hidden gem. Passing Thru is a special series to me as it reflects a transitionary period in my career, moving from visual-fx to physically based / experiential installations. It was the first series where I began to explore surreal CGI landscapes, a theme that will likely continue for as long as I make digital art. Here we follow our main character once again, the man with a hat (a model of myself) as he treks through the atmospheric landscapes of a strange new world.
