Passing Thru: People Watching

"People Watching" from Passing Thru (2017) is a reflection on social media's ability to give us a window into the lives of others without being able to truly see them. Passing Thru is a very special series to me as it reflects a transitionary period in my career, moving from visual-fx to physically based / experiential installations. It was the first series where I began to explore surreal CGI landscapes, a theme that will likely continue for as long as I make digital art. Here we follow our main character once again, the man with a hat (a model of myself) as he treks through the atmospheric landscapes of a strange new world.
