This work was inspired by my daily walks... I often go out for some exercise and take a lovely walk outdoors. Usually it is nearby my studio, but, I'll sometimes drive off to farther locations, that I have discovered over time, They have much beauty to me and I consider them my secret sanctuary. Let me introduce myself... My name is Artist Dan Seitzinger and I'm a mixed media painter and consider myself an experimental artist. I'm also know for my work making custom painted and built Electric and Acoustic Guitars. So, I do paint, draw and create my art both traditionally and digitally as well. This scene was made using my favorite 3D modeling software, that I used to begin the composition. Most of the background that you see was created using this technique, although, I do also digitally paint and did that to make the very far-off sky and treeline, using a program called PaintShop Pro. I then brought that digitally painted treeline/sky into my 3D sofware, as a 2D plane object. Then rendered it into the scene by also adding the stone wall and iron gate as well. So you know, this is only part of the first steeps and process, there was much more work involved to make this. Once I was satisfied with the background and mid-ground arrangement, I made a final high-resolution render. Then I saved it for the next steps. Next, I imported that render into my digital art software, for additional work and mastering. I scanned in some high resolution hand painted flowers. FYI: I can pant things and objects traditionally too. Both on canvas, or on artist paper. I save them on my hard drive within a library that I can add into a scene when needed. Add them as layers, one by one, using graphic software. Once it is all complete, I then master it to make look more appealing to the eye. This artwork is truly a mixed-media piece, with many multiple steps involved in creating it, and this process allows me to add even more detail. Also, I sometimes use these digital renderings as a reference, to paint the entire scene onto canvas that gives me an original work to sell to art collectors.
Thank you for looking! :-) Artist Dan Seitzinger
