The priestess and the chrysalis

The first in a new series of pieces exploring a world I've been dreaming about for years. Thorax gives us a glimpse of life at the bottom of the food chain, where people fear and revere that which we largely ignore and take for granted. The tribe known as the Silc are known for their worship and symbiotic relationship with the Lepidoptera, also known as moths and butterflies.

Here a Silc priestess sings in harmony with the hum of a chrysalis.
