The Immaculate Correction
"Society is sick of centralized systems!" This was said to me by a good friend and fellow crypto enthusiast, while having a fervent discussion about what is happening in the crypto art space and how blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, smart contracts and DeFi are changing the ways artists are interacting in value exchange systems.
There is something overwhelmingly powerful and emancipating about transacting within a decentralized system, especially one that operates in the shadow of the most guarded and centralized construct of all time, that of finance.
To be interested in this converging paradigm of economics, blockchain technology and creativity you must accept that a conglomeration of rabbit holes must be entered into in order to visualize a legible map of what is happening. As it stands, it is a forever shifting and undulating landscape that can be seen in algorithmic real time.
The fluctuating graphs of these crypto realities represent a breathing mechanism for the new life that is being conceived into the world. A new existence being birthed by creative forces that exist without the grace of institutional dogma but within an ecosystem of technological inventions evolved by a global community of decentralized adopters.
Cryptoart is one of the movements in which the full potential of these technologies and philosophies about art and value have been experimented with and have so far, yielded transformative results. You can begin to see a new state layer of art emerging outside the purview of the traditional art world, one that "corrects" the valuation between the artist, the collector and the traditional mechanisms of that valuation.
So after traversing many rabbit holes and continuing to navigate the wonderful mazes of this profound movement, I have briefly emerged to present THE IMMACULATE CORRECTION, a visual idea that is crypto native in its inception.
This work of art speaks to a "correction" in many aspects of societal deficiency. A "correction" in financial freedom and control of our economic selves, a "correction" in valuing art and cultural goods for the benefit of the creator, a "correction" in how creations are born and protected.
The idea was conceived immaculately, a visual conception of all these fascinating subjects thrown into a blender of hard beats and remixed using ancient hand skills, pop cultural ephemera and the power of the human mind presented on a neon, technicolor palette of bits and bytes, zeroes and ones.
