lo-fi sunset

This is one of my oldest and most favorite pieces. It was 2016. I got into listening to lo-fi jazz or hip-hop while I painted. I think that I was frustrated that my career trajectory seemed to be moving further and further away from art. It felt like there was a lot of noise and energy just built up inside me.

My frustration, my hopes, my knowledge, my feelings all poured out into this beautiful mess. When I look at it; I feel like there's still time to breathe and appreciate the journey.
