SpaceX began flight testing its satellite technologies in 2018,17 with the launch of two test satellites. The two identical satellites were named MicroSat-2a and MicroSat-2b61 during development, but were renamed Tintin A and Tintin B during orbital deployment in February 2018. Today there are 60 of them and they are still growing. Since SpaceX does not have a defined nomenclature for each of the 60 satellite missions, the decision was made to use the name system most commonly employed by both the specialized media and the 45th Meteorological Squadron (a Space Force unit responsible for monitoring weather conditions).
