Signal Chain Sabotage

This is a piece I created on an Adobe live stream in 2019. It may appear to be nothing more than well crafted nonsense but it's actually a somewhat personal depiction about how I once lost the best thing that's ever happened to me. Each item in the "signal chain" is cryptic by design but much like learning a magic trick, isn't all that mysterious once you understand it.

A signal chain is a series of guitar effects pedals "chained" or cabled together. The Steve II Work Station represents poor decisions. The OCD Lite-D76 is an overdrive that increases the output of those poor decisions. The bomb symbolizes self sabotage and how the games we play only hurt ourselves and ultimately lead to heartache and ruin.
