The rain in falling, pouring Flowing from the cloud, As it makes it's way to the ground.
About the art process:
I started the painting with a big textured brush and decided on the color palette while drawing. I scrapped a couple of failed attempts, till I found a color combination I liked. The initial colors determine the mood and the composition, it's a fast but important step. Then I added more layers on top- details, shadows, lights and some color adjustments. For the details I used a sharper brush similar to a pencil tool. I used cold colors like blues for shadows and warm like yellows for the bright areas, making the painting feel more vibrant.
I painted the cloud last, adjusting the size so it reads as the focal point of the painting. The animation is longer than the clouds, as I painted the rain frame by frame and the water riptides- there are 10 frames total.
