Graphite Artifact 03.3 - "The Time Compass"

OK... You're in the mist... Lost in Imaginary Lands... As you seek for direction, you find a compass. Great ! Of course, you ask it: "where am I ?" you smart traveler ! But it shows you what time it is.... Congratulations ! You found the famous, unique, and most useless "Time Compass" ! ...Happy ?

This one of my first attempts at drawing a complex abstract or surrealist structure on a rather large format (55/60cm) with a mechanical pencil. The structure was assembled organically during months, and is still a work in progress... Probably until self-destruction.

This kind of drawing is an everlasting and ever-changing learning ground... By luck, some progression steps are sometimes captured by the eye of a camera before their next mutation and may be shared.

A few other digital variations can be found here and there, but this specific colored conversion can not be found anywhere else than here.
