Icosaeder II
3D Paintimation mixed 3D-visualisation and roto-painting technique. Inspired by the fact, that I celebrate 33 years of visual art this year, I wanted to replicate the very best of my early styles as visual artist, the ones I fell in love with, when I was young. Back then these animations were mainly created on heavily tuned Amiga 2000, 2500s and later Amiga 3000&4000. The main program for paintimations and realtime playback was Deluxe Paint a powerful program at this time.
33 years later, during the covid-19 lockdown I went into Art Catharsis inspired by crypto art friend Julia K Ponsford and created a retro ICOSAEDER mini series, representing my early styles from 1988-1992 as visual artist and live visuals paint performer. I waited a long time for a solution like Makersplace. specially visual art was heavily undervalued in the last millenium, it took many years until slowly acceptance kicked in and now NFT and crypto will put audiovisual art into the right place. Makes me happy to see the solution to the digital artist dilemma while I am still alive. visual grandpa :)))
This animation was created on Cinema4d for the Icosaeder rotation and TVP-animation for the coloring and painting.
