When I was young I had an English teacher that was in love with Greek mythology. I remember very well the way she enjoyed describing all the characters and their stories to us. She would pronounce their names slowly, carefully, and precisely while staring slightly off into the distance – like she was savoring the taste of a sweet candy. I can almost hear her listing them aloud ... Agamemnon, Persephone, Artemis. This is piece is for her.
