"The city of chaos, between the idea and the divine", is a work that tries to reflect with various symbolic elements a number of ideas that, together, reveal the conceptions of realities that current western society lives.
Among the concepts expressed in the work are the thoughts of Platonism. In the first place, we see a semi-destroyed and chaotic city that reflects the opposition to the "world of ideas" posed by philosophy, and that represents metaphorically the place where formless matter is found, that is, "chaos" . In it a demiurge or divine form of colossal size in the sky of the city begins to propel the matter of the irregular, that is to say, of what lacks form, in this case the water (the sea of the city) From here you can see a planet earth inside a dodecahedron (polyhedron related to the golden ratio) alluding to a world under construction and in constant measure, the latter you can see that in the right hand of this entity there is a compass, under the planet you see a set of machines with screens that display various images that serve as the base of the globe, the base on which the world is based.
In this base you can see various machinery and devices, these answer the question: Where are we going ?, towards a highly technological world, where the exploration of science is the main thing and where the material prevails over everything.
On the other hand, the images that are on the screens reflect conceptions about other aspects of life. In the device that is above you can see the image of Antonio García Villarán, an artist with controversial reflections on current art and what should or should not be considered art, with his manifesto of amparte, a way of thinking that is having a great boom within the community and from people who are not. On the screen you see a fracture in the glass that represents the opposition of these ideas and their existence in society, having equal weight.
On the second screen, more social and political issues are touched on, such as the confrontation of liberal, progressive and fifth-wave feminism ideas, for this reason I use the image of clinical psychologist Jordan Bernt Peterson, on him is a mark of prohibited, that represents the opposition and the existence of its antonym, as the fight of these liberal and conservative ideas.
Finally, a screen displays the dollar symbol, as it shows that money is still a yardstick for measuring people.
